That didn't take long...new job for Bruce Boudreau

His new job....to a warmer climate

72 hours...yep that is all it took.  72 hours and Coach Boudreau has a new job as the new head coach of the Anaheim Ducks. (don't we all wish we could get a job that fast after losing a previous one??)

On a personal side, I'm rather shocked about this since Coach Randy Carlyle (whom Boudreau is replacing) had signed an extension on his contract to 2014.  But I guess they (the Ducks Organization) wanted a new system, just like the Capitals.  They made the announcement at 2am this morning (EST).

In an interview with the Washington Post, Boudreau said that when he talked to GM McPhee he told him he knew he was "doing what he had to do".

For a quote about the Ducks, the new coach said, "It's time for the Ducks to get their asses out of their heads."

I'll miss ya Gabby, best of luck out west.

Do you have any thoughts on this? Good, bad or indifferent?
